 you guys have broken my notifications sooo if i don't respond to comments that's why. heh. (-::
❋goal setting❋
make goals for yourself! tell yourself that today you're only going to bite your nails less than ten times, or whatever your bad habit may be. make sure to commit to it, or you'll more likely fail to break the bad habit.

❋get to know your habit❋
make sure you understand the cons of your habit! is it annoying? does it affect others? is it life threatening? knowing the risks of your habit may encourage you to stop it! it also helps to know what you're feeling when doing you're habit. maybe you feel nervous when you crack your knuckles. or maybe you're stressed out when you start smoking a cigarette.

❋minimize❋
try to avoid the things that trigger the bad habit! plan it all out and think it through!

❋success❋
try to visualize yourself after you've broken your bad habit! this will really encourage you!

❋change it up❋
subtle changes in your life can make your mind rethink of what's happening and focus more. rearrange things, sit somewhere else, or go on a little mini vacation!

❋tell your family and friends❋
your family and friends will be your biggest cheerleaders! they'll help you every step of the way! whenever you pour another cup of coffee, they'll be there to stop you and call you out on it!

❋rewards❋
every once in awhile, reward yourself with a small little treat that isn't related to the bad habit! every day you go without smoking a cigarette, treat yourself to a cup of ice cream or any type of dessert!

❋replacement❋
find something more positive in your life to replace your bad habit! you could try reading more, writing short stories, or going on small walks!

❋kindness and patience❋
make sure to be patient and kind with yourself! think positive thoughts of how far you've come! and remember that results will not come right away! :)

I hope this helped.

♕ нαɴɴαн'ѕ тυмвlr ♕:
♡ positive ♡
think of all the things you're good at and things you've accomplished in your life! example: i am a good writer, and in in sixth grade i won my class spelling bee.

♡ negative ♡
you are your own worst critic. think of how and when you judge yourself. what are all of the negative things in your life?
example: i always cringe when i hear myself sing and i'll never be good at math.

♡ the other people ♡
when you're making a decision, you shouldn't let people that you aren't close to or you don't look up to affect your judgement on how you should act. the only opinions that matter are friends and family. if they continually criticize you, tell them you didn't ask for their opinion.

♡ all of these flaws ♡
sometimes we have changeable flaws. if you self conscious about your manners or your weight (which isn't even a flaw!!!!!!) you can always find a safe and healthy way to change. if you're self conscious about you're height or something you can't change, you just have to accept you can't change these! make a list of the negative things in your life that you can turn positive and a list of negative things in your life you can't change, but try to make the positive!

♡ you are not a freak ♡
sometimes when we're struggling to find our identity, we consider ourselves as outsiders. you have to learn we can't change what makes us unique and special in our own way. you are beautiful, handsome, and you :) and that's all anyone could ask for

I love you all

5 detox fruit water recipes - photographed by @jess aleks:
Hey everyone! A while ago, I was admitted to the hospital for dehydration. It made me think about how important water is and what it can do for us in the long run. Here are just some facts to keep in mind.

❉ FLUiD BALANCE
about 60% of the body is made of water. drinking enough H2O maintains the body’s fluid balance, which helps transport nutrients in the body, regulate body temperature, digest food, and more.

❉ CALORiE CONTROLforget other diet tricks—drinking water could also help with weight loss. numerous studies have found a connection between water consumption and losing a few pounds. water simply helps people feel full, and as a result consume fewer calories.

❉ MUSCLE FUELsweating at the gym causes muscles to lose water. and when the muscles don’t have enough water, they get tired. so for extra energy, try drinking water!

❉ CLEARER SKiNcertain toxins in the body can cause the skin to inflame, which results in clogged pores and acne. while science saying water makes the skin wrinkle free is contradictory, water does flush out these toxins and can reduce the risk of pimples.

❉ KiDNEY FUNCTiON

our kidneys process 200 quarts of blood daily, sifting out waste and transporting urine to the bladder. yet, kidneys need enough fluids to clear away what we don’t need in the body.

❉ PRODUCTiViTY BOOST

in order to really focus, a glass of water could help people concentrate and stay refreshed and alert.

❉ FATiGUE BUSTERwater can help fight those tired eyes. one of the most common symptoms of dehydration is tiredness. just another reason to go for the big gulp!

❉ PAiN PREVENTiONa little water can really go a long way. aching joints and muscle cramps and strains can all occur if the body is dehydrated .

❉ KEEPS THiNGS FLOWiNGnobody wants to deal with digestion issues. luckily, drinking enough water adds fluids to the colon which helps make things move smoothly.

❉ SiCKNESS FiGHTERwater may help with decongestion and dehydration, helping the body bounce back when feeling under the weather. just beware—drinking fluids hasn’t been scientifically proven to beat colds in one swoop, so don’t swap this for a trip to the doctor or other cold remedies.

❉ BRAiN BOOSTa study in london found a link between students bringing water into an exam room and better grades, suggesting H2O promotes clearer thinking. while it’s unclear if drinking the water had anything to do with a better score, it doesn’t hurt to try it out!

I like how its just something you would see on a regular basis. but its so beautiful.
Hey guys! So, if you're planning to go on long car rides over the summer,I have just the things to get you through it!

1) GAMES
-Well, this is a duh! Play I spy, or a game on your iPod/iPhone like temple run, bingo, chess, connect 4, etc. Something to keep you occupied, and your mind focused.

2) COUNTiNG
- Count to see how many Starbucks you see, or how many red cars or something like that. Its a good way to see the world around you, while keeping busy.

3) CHECKLiST
-Make a checklist of all the states, or all the stores you know of. Every time you see a license plate from a state, check it off! If you see the restaurant, do the same!

4) TEXTiNG
-Now, if you're the driver, do not attempt. If you are not, text some friends that aren't busy! Its a good way to keep a laugh, or something and just make the time fly!

5) WATCH A MOViE
-Mobile devices carry apps to let you watch YouTube, Netflix, etc. This will let you watch anything basically anywhere! Portable DVD players aren't that expensive either.

6) MUSiC
-Make sure to jam out to your iPod and try to memorize the songs! Bring your fave CD so that your whole family will enjoy it too!

This tip was kind of short, but it was all I could think of.

traveling, jet-setter style

Hii there! here are some tips on how to travel alone on a plane!

+ BRiNG items that remind you of home. Obviously, don't bring huge items, like a TV, but do bring small things, like your little brother's soldier figurine, or your mom's brush.

+ KEEP your phone handy. Communication is important so that the time travels faster, and in total case of emergency. You never know what could happen and what you can use your phone for.

+ TRY not to talk to strangers. You might have to talk to a translator, or the person sitting next to you on the plane, so don't stay completely mute, especially if you need something.

+ DON'T worry that much, but worry some. Don't over think. That might cause you to go crazy, or have a panic attack.

+ PACK light. Don't take too much, where you can't see all that you have. Try maybe just a backpack, and a small luggage, but if you're, like staying forever, then obviously, you're packing a lot. But, if you're not, pack light.

+ BE in total aware of your surroundings. Look around often, and look up from your phone from time to time to smell out danger, and notice everything around you.

+ LiSTEN and pay attention to what trusted adults tell you. Don't misbehave for the flight attendants. That's rude, and you can get into trouble, where no one can really help you but yourself.

+ DON'T use your phone so much. Bad people will realize that you have tons of expensive and precious things, and they will go after you first. Don't flaunt it, at least not by yourself.

+ BE brave, and know what's best for yourself. Follow directions, and try to stay focused. Wether it's a 4 hour or 13 hour flight, remain brave, and with your head up high. There is nothing to fear.

Thanks for reading, hope this helped someone!

Bonfires with best friends are always fun
So, you're going on a week-long sleep away camp, and you seriously don't know what to pack! I know, this all depends on the weather, and the camp's regulations, but let's keep that apart.

CLOTHES:
- tees
;; I suggest you stock up on those short sleeve shirts, that are very comfy! the best ones are from h&m and old navy. you might want to get a few to sleep in, especially if it's going to be hot.

- jeans
;; nice, sturdy jeans will do just the trick. I suggest bringing light wash, or light blue jeans not black or white ones.

- shorts
;; in case it's very hot, or you have the opportunity to go to the beach or work out, bring some! I suggest tan or khakis because they go with anything! jogging shorts are good too because you can go jogging or on a hike. bring some with pockets!

- long sleeve shirts / sweatshirts
;; it might be cold, idk. if it is, stock up on some! they are great for after showers, or going to sleep. I suggest bringing two if the weather is mediate.

- sweats
;; these are great to sleep in, and wear after shower.

- shoes
;; bring only tennis shoes, and maybe a pair of flip flops. the shoes need to be durable, and comfy since there will be lots of walking. flip flops for shower, and possible swimming/beach.

- jacket
;; you might want to pack one jacket, in case of rain, or anything. there might be bonfires or something, and you want something to keep you warm!

ACESSORiES:
- watch
;; there aren't very many clocks in the forest, so I suggest you bring one, a waterproof one, to keep track of time!

- lantern
;; in case there are limited lights! and you might go on a night hike or something.

OTHER:
- sleeping bag
;; you might want to bring one. nah, you definitely need to! you're going to need something to sleep in, even if beds are given. you might want to bring an additional small bed sheet to keep you warm.

- sunscreen
;; it might be super sunny! unless it's raining or something. then you don't really need it..

remember: DON'T bring electronics because they won't really be useful. Bring something to read, but you might not get to read.

Hope this helped

.
Hello everyone! Some tips I learnt while shopping.

start at the back of the store ;
- you'll prevent yourself from buying all the new items that are still full price.

don't buy it just because it's on sale ;
- not everything on sale is a good deal.
- unless you'll wear it a lot don't buy it, it's still a waste of money

don't buy essentials from name brands ;
- honestly, does it matter if you're white t-shirt for layering is from abercrombie & fitch. nope
- buy your essentials from generic brands

make a list ;
- if you need a few things, make a list, and stick to that list to stop overspending

shop only with cash ;
- don't bring your credit card with you.
- if you have cash, only bring a little bit. you can only spend what you have

ask yourself if it matches your other clothing ;
- don't buy it unless you can mix & match with other clothing you already have

sell your old clothes ;
- sell your old clothes to earn money for new clothes

stay out of expensive stores ;
- if you don't want to use all your money up on one thing, stay out of those expensive stores.

--
that's all, sorry it's kind of short ♥
