Feeling better after a bad day

Hey all! I wrote this one yesterday, but was having a bad day myself and didnt feel like posting it... but here it is. Hope this helps!

+read
get away from your own life and delve into someone else's.

+do a favorite thing- read your favorite book, watch a favorite show or movie, look at your favorite photos, do your favorite activity.

+journal
rant. scribble. let your feelings out onto the paper in anyway (through writing or art). Either destroy it (be careful) or put it away.

+read your old journals
laugh at the weirdness, see how far you've come. look at old photos of yourself too.

+listen to music- loud
sing along, head bang, dance, whatever. :)

+move
go for a run. walk long. drive to nowhere (if you can drive) . do yoga. dance. just get moving- it's scientifically proven to help.

+make a playlist
of what you want to feel, or even better, about what you do feel (and base it on why your day is crap)

+sleep

+read the Bible
discover verses that can inspire you

+eat crap
hey, once in a while it's fine.

+clean your room

+play hard on your guitar/ukulele/piano/tuba

+take photos
try to do something new- get a new perspective, a new colorway, a new location. or take a series of photos.

+write poetry
or a story. Control it.

+put on an outfit that makes you feel really confident
try studs (always makes me feel like i can kick butt)

+produce something.
make stuff. sew, knit, crochet. collage, write, play an instrument.

+do something repetitive, that produces
things like crocheting, knitting, gardening and writing are thereputic for that reason.

+take a long hot or cold shower.
'wash that boy from your hair'

+cry your eyes out
sob loudly. shake your shoulders. just let it out.

+hug and/or play with a younger sibling/kid or pet

+redo something in your room
redo your wall decorations. reorganize your bookshelf. rearrange the furniture.

+try a new makeup style. dye your hair. paint your nails.

+breathe in your favorite scent

+get angry about something big
human trafficking, GMOs, monzanto, sweatshops, etc. do something about it (even if it's just planning). read more about the cause

+make a t shirt
with fabric pens/paint or sharpies

+look at the sky

+do something good
volunteer at/donate to a homeless shelter, nursing home, animal shelter, food bank. Help a neighbor, an elderly person, a little kid, someone at school.

+read your favorite quotes

+get rid of stuff

+say thank you/read-
your gratitude journal. every day, write 1-5 things that you love, that you're thankful for.

+talk to someone
talk to a parent, a counselor, a friend (preferably removed from what made you sad/mad. a friend who will listen to you, cheer you up, whatever you need. a parent counts, you know)

Distract. Produce. Focus. Feel. Don't do anything drastic- if you feel like getting drastic, get help, TALK to someone. It WILL help you feel better.

you are VALUED and LOVED- remember that, beautiful!

Love Han x
